Still the most awesome show ever

I recently watched the seventh season of 24 and while certain plot points had me going "WTF!?", it was much better than season six. I realized it's been two and a half years since I've seen the show! The sixth season ended in May '07, they skipped the next year because of the writer's strike, then it started again back in January, but I had already missed the first four episodes by the time I was aware it was on, it was too late to catch up and I hadn't heard of Hulu yet...so fast-forward to December when I finally Netflixed it.

But it was certainly worth the wait! SPOILERS FOR SEASON SEVEN!!!!!! )

Bring on season eight!

...because she's on Heroes, and its competition, 24.

Speaking of 24, I totally didn't see the big reveal in last night's episode coming )

Oscar nods were read today. Somehow I really don't care about the Oscars this season, though I'm happy that Jennifer Hudson and Abigail Breslin were nominated in the supporting actress category. Honestly, if it weren't for J-Hud having a pretty good chance of winning, I doubt I'd even watch this year. It's weird...it seems like I get more excited about the Oscars during odd years, but could give a crap during the even years. I'm kinda suprised that Dreamgirls didn't get a nod for best picture, but last year Walk the Line won the GG for best musical/comedy and didn't get nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. (It should've taken the place of Crash :::cough cough:::). Oh the bitterness, the bitterness!

Our work's Christmas party was last night (they have it in January since most people are out of town during the holidays) and I called Kelly at 6:30 and told her I would pick her up in a "few minutes." Yeah, well, a "few minutes" turned into an hour because I got toally lost in her neighborhood. I am so horrible with directions. Plus, it was dark and snowing and I was really low on gas, so it wasn't in the best circumstances. Luckily, just as I was just about to give up and head on home, I saw her come out of her house. There was a dinner at Valentino's (ugh) and I only had a breadstick and some fruit and two toasted raviolis which were really gross. Then the party progressed to the bowling alley and Kelly and I bowled with Brett, Felicia (Brett's gf), and Melissa (Brett's sister). We bowled three games. My scores were 76, 94, and 86 respectively. But to defend my crappy scores, I hadn't been bowling in over two or three years and I did get two strikes my second game and one strike my third game along with a few spares (and quite a few gutterballs!) While everyone was bowling, Scott was calling out raffle tickets for prizes. None of us won anything. My number was 196 and they called 195 and 197, but did they call my number? No! :-) My God, the music they were blaring at the bowling alley was GOD AWFUL! It was 90% rap or heavy metal. I remember the good old days when they used to play techno or '80s music at bowling alleys. Kids have such crappy taste in music these days. There were these obnoxious teen boys bowling next to us and they would bowl right at the same time as one of us (which was really distracting) and they would THROW the ball (like in a way it shouldn't be thrown) and one of the little shits even took Felicia's ball from our conveyer thingy, so Felicia was like "Hey, asshole!" and just marched over there and took it back. Then the kid was going to take it again and she was like, "Excuse me, that's our ball!" It was such a relief when they finally left!

Of course, the whole time I was there, I was totally wishing I was back home watching 24. I get so giddy when I watch that show, it's like Christmas Day every time a new season starts!
Off to an awesome start )

The Bauer Power Hour!

Yay!
I am so excited! The sixth season, excuse me, day of 24 begins tonight. I have to tape it though, because I'm going to my work's Christmas party. (Yeah, they have it kind of late). Damn, I would so rather stay home (especially because it's snowing) then go bowling, but I told Kelly I'd pick her up since doesn't have a car. I had a dream about Jack Bauer last night, heh. He was totally kicking these two other guy asses. If Jack Bauer and Voldemort ever got into a showdown, my money's on Bauer. ;-)

Overall, I thought the Emmys were kinda dull tonight, but I was extremely happy with two of the winners. :-D

Yay, 24 won an award for writing...or maybe it was directing. I wasn't really paying attention because Wentworth Miller was presenting the award, heh.

I like Evangeline Lilly's dress.

So of course they had to air the FINAL EPISODE !!!EVER!!! of Alias the same night as the season finale of 24, also the same night I had to work. Luckily, though, I called Mom to tell her to tape Alias for me so I could tape 24. She'll be mailing it tomorrow, so I probably won't get to see Alias until Wed. or Thurs. so nobody tell me what happened! Shhhh!! I sure am going to miss that show, but I think it's time for it to go. Besides, the fourth and fifth seasons were never as kick ass as the first two. Those seasons rocked my socks.

I can't wait until the next day of 24 )

The other day I saw Mission Impossible III and yeah, yeah, yeah, Tom Cruise is the anti-Christ but I had to see it. Why? Because I am JJ Abrams bitch, being the loyal viewer of Alias and Lost. It was actually a pretty good movie, much better than the first two and there were little Alias shout outs like the "secret meeting" at the convient store and Weiss! Yes, Weiss had a cameo in it. I won't lie when I say I kinda hoped Philip Seymour Hoffman would kill Tom Cruise. Heh heh heh....

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turkeys!

Can somebody please tell me what happened during the last ten minutes of 24 last night? I had to tape it and I had no idea fucking Bush was giving a speech that night, so my tape stopped right at nine. It stopped after Jack and Curtis and the CTU team entered the home of that one guy Henderson brought them to. Thank you so much!

Bill called last night, obviously drunk. He said he and Kelly were bar-hopping. He wanted to ask me if I had seen the finale of Grey's Anatomy because he missed it and I said I watched the finale of Survivor and guess he missed that too because I had to tell him what happened. I had told him about the turkey and he asked me where it had come from and I said it had more likely come from the woods by my apartment rather than the street and this caused him to say, "So it didn't come from the sewer like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?" and I said, "It's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turkey" and in the background I can hear Kelly say, "Turkeys in a half-shell!" LOL.

I saw Posideon today. It was pretty good, lots of fun excitment...kinda reminded me of a modern-day Titanic, only the disaster happened a lot earlier in the movie. Josh Lucas is way hot. Mia Maestro was wimpy in this movie, she was the anti-Nadia! That kid was all kinds of annoying. There was one scene where they're crawling through vents that made me very claustophobic!

Day 3 ends

LOL, somebody over at TWoP wrote their idea for a 24/HP crossover:

Harry Potter and the Agent of CTU - Harry teams up with Jack to end the reign of terror of the evil Voldemort. George Mason heads the Ministry of Whatever Magic and continues to bring the funny. LadyMac becomes the new Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts, where no one walks away from her. Chloe falls in love with a house elf. Special Agent Charlie Brown receives a staticky call and thinks Hagrid wants help tracking down a new Drazen. Turns out it was a dragon. Good grief. Meanwhile, at Ministry HQ, Soul Patch continues to track Voldemort and his minions using Whatever Magic. Spawn trips and falls into the Chamber of Secrets where she is stalked by a troll.

(BTW, LadyMac = Sherry Palmer; Charlie Brown = Chase; Soul Patch = Tony; Spawn = Kim). LMAO, I'd love to see Sherry Palmer as the DADA teacher. And Kim trapped in CoS with a troll stalking her reminds me of a certain cougar....lol.

Okay, speaking of 24, I finally finished third season for the second time. Stupidass Blockbuster didn't have the fifth disc, so I had to Netflix it.

The remaining hours of day 3 )

So I've decided when I become a famous author (er, yeah...) I'm going to name one of my characters Reiko after the awesomeness of Reiko Aylesworth....love her! Michelle Dessler kicks ass. And you know who else I love? Sherry Palmer. (Oh, yeah, I just finished the fourth disc of the third season of 24)

Thank God Sherry never became the FLOTUS )

pissed off VM
So I got pulled over last night on my way to my parent's house. Apparently I ran the stop sign between where I live and the stop lights. So now I have to pay $144! Ugh, this sucks! I don't want to go to court and I sure as hell don't want to spend all day in traffic school. My mom told me they probably have cops just sitting in hiding to catch people who run the stop signs. I didn't even realize I did it. Oops. Damn, I wish I had a time turner. At least Mom is taking me shopping either this evening or tomorrow. Yay, shopping always makes me feel better, especially when I don't have to spend my own money, lol.

Damn you, 24! )

LOL, I had this really weird dream last week. It was a Harry Potter dream. They were making the first movie and all the characters had been cast except for Harry, so it was decided that they would take about 20 HP hopefuls and have the American public vote for who should be Harry. (Yes, Harry would be an American, so already my dream doesn't make any sense!) So they had their 20 finalists (which also included girls, oddly enough). Anyway, the guy who got the most votes had a bowl top haircut (his hair color was black, at least)and glasses and he was overweight and a lot older than he should be (I remember his birthdate being 1982. (LOL, sis, doesn't this sound like someone we know? He didn't hit on Emma in my dream, though). So EVERYONE was pissed! Everyone wanted this cute little kid named Simon to win. Sure, Simon had curly blond hair, but at least he was skinny and scrawny unlike this fat kid who was going to play Harry Potter. Luckily, by the second movie they found Daniel Radcliffe, so they fired ugly fat guy. Needless to say, the first HP film hardly made any money.

That Chinese ice skater, Zhang, who had a nasty fell on her knee is my hero! I give her a lot of credit for continuing on with the routine because, man, that had to hurt like a bitch! They should be proud of their silver medal, though if it weren't for that dang fall, I'm sure they would have won the gold and the Russian streak would have ended! (Of course it would have ended in Salt Lake if it wasn't for that dang French judge!)

My ten favorite TV shows )

Damn, I love this show! )

SNL had the funniest skit last night when Scarlett Johansson was hosting. They did a spoof of this MTV show called My Sweet 16 which I've only seen once (and once was enough). The funny (and kinda scary) thing was is that they didn't really have to spoof much of it all. It was already like the real show. In the episode I saw, they followed this rich bitch around who wanted to have a Moulin Rouge style party, so she and her mom (Daddy did't seem to be in the picture or was smart and didn't want to be on this craptastic show and have all the world he's related to this spoiled asshat) go to Betsey Johnson to get her dress and the bitch is so horrible to her mom (who takes all the bullshit her daughter gives to her and is catering to her every needs - UGH!) And then the girl is handing out invitations and she just FREAKS OUT when this one girl gets one because she's not suppose to be invited and blah, blah, blah. Well, anyway on the SNL skit Scarlett played this spoiled, whiny, rich girl who's always telling her parents to shut up and she says to the camera, "I've made an agreement with my mother - every time she says something stupid, she has to give me $1000." Then at her party her parents have hired her Hailey and Hilary Duff to sing "My Lips are Sealed," only instead they got the Go-Gos and Scarlett whines, then she whines because they give her the wrong car she wanted. (And that reminds me on the real show I watched, the bitch whined because she was getting a USED car. Oh my God, shut up bitch. I never got a car for my 16th birthday...I doubt a lot of people do). Anyway, the skit just cracked me up because it was so true to the real show!

Here are my latest purchases from Gap. I love having a Gap card!
-Since my brother got an extra Christmas present (snow boots), my mom said she'd buy me a peacoat if I saw one I liked. Well, I didn't see any, but I did however buy this coat which I got in watermelon.
-This cable crew neck sweater in island turquoise.
-This striped v-neck T in navy.
-This pocket T in watermolon.
-This cable knit zip up hoodie in pink.

Who ya gonna call?

Good news. If ever I find myself the victim of terrorist activities, I've got Jack Bauer's number. It's 310 597 3781. Better put that on the speed dial. LOL, I wonder how many smucks called that number after the show?

Any show that uses the mummy as their bad guy ROX!

Well, fuck. It looks like Shoreh is dead. They talked about her body being in the van. Of course we haven't seen this body yet...so....lol, I so don't want her to be dead. Oh, well, at least we still have Im-Ho-Tep. Poor Barooooooooooooooose! He is so this season's Meeeeeeeghan! Cuz both his parents died and both her parents died and he had that evil terrorist father and she had that evil abusive father. Those two should hook up, lol. Dude. It looks like Edgar might be evil according to next week's previews. But I could be wrong. I mean, how the hell could, sweet, bumbling, oaf Edgar be EVIL? NOOOO! But there was a scene where he was looking suspicion and Chloe was suspcisouly saying his name. Can't wait for next Monday! God, I am so obsessed with that show.

Holy fuck...this just prooves it. And I answered the questions honestly, I swear to God!

I drove home today at six without running into any red lights. That like, never happens. I don't think it's ever happened before. I'm pretty sure I have droven home where I've gotten all red lights.

It was a nice day today. 70s. Whoo! Spring is here! I was working the color pink today. I had on my pink camisole and my pink zip up hoodie and my black and white Skechers with the pink trim. Not to mention my pink Fossil watch, pink rose earrins, and my necklace with the pink and orange gems. Theresa would've been proud, lol.

Last night I couldn't get to sleep so I ended up watching 30 minutes of Save the Last Dance on TBS. I've seen the movie before, but it's been awhile. Anyway, there's this scene that takes place at a dance club and Julia Stiles is the ONLY white person there, I swear to God. I don't know, but for some reason that cracked me up. That movie is so dope, yo. I have no idea what I just said.

Another epihour of 24 tonight! Yay! Shoreh better not be dead or I will be pissed! They always kill off the evil women! Hopefully her "off-screen murder" was't that at all. I hope Tony and Michelle get back together, because, really folks, if Tony and Michelle can't make it, then who can? I'm so glad Reiko is back! I luv Reiko! She's so purty.

Hmm...I think I need new contacts. I can't read anything far away anymore.
