I just downloaded all of Clay's performances American Idol (well, I think it's all of them), so I thought it might be fun if I grade the performances, and just for kicks, also what he's wearing.

Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch
Fashion: B-
He's wearing black jeans and a white button down, untucked shirt with brown stripes. Not bad, but a little big blah. Gets the minus for BLINDING white sneakers.
Performance: A+
Best version I've ever heard!!!! Love the eye fucking during the line, "..my love, I just can't hide." Kicked ass with his first performance. Whooo!

Somewhere Out There
Fashion: B
He's wearing a pretty blue button down untucked shirt with jeans.
Performance: A-
Nice ballad, love this song, nice vocals on "SKYYYYYYY". Cracks a bit on the last note, hence he gets the minus for that.

Someone Else's Star
Fashion: B-
He's wearing a white button down untucked shirt with dark pants. The shirts looks a bit big and he's wearing some bling around his neck. I think we should call this look his uniform (minus the bling).
Performance: B+
Song is fucking boring. Wished he had chosen something a little more catchier, like How Do You Like Me Now? Actually, that's the one I wished JPL had sang during country night. I can TOTALLY see him singing that. Okay, how about for Clay, A Little Less Talk, A Lot More Action? Acutally, again, I can see JPL owning the stage with that one. Good vocals, and it's "sweet" like Simon said, but I'm not into it. No wonder nobody's ever heard of Brian (Bryan?) White.

At This Moment

He's wearing his uniform....this time a white and black striped shirt. He needs to change his style up a bit. I'm getting bored. With the clothes, darling. Never with you!

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!!! And I love it even more that Clay's sining it!!! I love it when it was on Family Ties! Awww, Alex P. Keaton is so cute! God Bless his little Republican heart! I don't give Clay a plus because I love the originial just too much, that nothing can touch it, not even the Untouchable One. Aww, look how forlorn he looks when he sings to the camera! But please, sweetie, stop fluttering your damn eyes!

Everlasting Love

This outfit is Fugly with a captial F. He's wearing his uniform, only the shirt is shiny and has polka dots on it. And the pants are tan. Ick...so 70's. Well, I guess it is disco night. He's also wearing more bling! Ha!

Sounds like disco on Broadway! Does a endearing lip biting thing. (He does that in his Invisbile video! Shout out! Shout out!) Love his last note of "Oooohhhhh". Good job holding that note!

Finally! He's not wearing his uniform! Looks, dare I say it? HOT in a blue shirt and black sports coat and pants.

Best. Performance. EVER!!! I love it when he sings high tempo songs! Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the dorky dance moves, especially the dip thing he does during "when you let me down" and his last dance step, and can't forget the eye fucking during "when you say you will." This kid went to the Justin Gu-whatever School of Eye Fucking.

Black pants, shirt, nice, but boring.

Great vocals, great song choice, this is his song. No wonder it was realeased as a single. Duh. Made me like a song I wasn't familiar with.

Love the song, love Clay singing it. I'm feelin' it dawg (TM Randy). Awww! He was looking at me when he said "You don't know what it's like to love somebody the way I love you!" Me!

Red leather jacket, white shirt, red sneakers, gray pants. Love him in leather, but not RED.
Performance: C
His hip shake is a bit skeevy - you're not Justin Gu-whatever. I hate this song. Sorry, sweetie. Voice is okay, but I've heard better.

He's wearing some tan old man suit with a blue shirt. It's not smokin' like the other suits were.
Performance: B-
Zzzzzz. He's sitting on a stool. This song is boring, maybe that's why I've never heard it before. Wake me up when it's over. Still, I gotta give him props. His vocals are good. What a waste of a song choice. Oh wait, Vincent is about Vincent Van Gogh, right? I heard "starry starry night" and I put 2 and 2 together. Who the hell wrote a song about a dead artist?

Mack the Knife

Black suit, white shirt, looks old school.
Performance: A
Sings jazz/big band/whatever the hell it is quite well but this is TEEN MARTIN'S category. Nice long note at the end there.

Dark coat and shirt, jeans.

Ooh, Clay gets a harp! Some notes don't sound too great. I've never heard of this song. He's just sitting on a stool. I'm bored. This song isn't right for him. People in the audience need to STFU. High notes aren't his friend today.

Looks similiar to Mack the Knife suit.
Performance: B
Songs is better than A Moment Like This, but can't touch the greatness that is I Believe. Does a good job with a schmaltzy song. Haha..he's not in sync with the background vocals. Is this song about sex? Is "this is the night when we capture forever" mean he's gonna do it? LMAO. Gets a little over dramatic towards the end with the facial expressions during "I would go with you to the ends of the earth and we'll fly". Last note not as good as other last notes.

Ugh. I have the worst luck ever! I woke up at 8:30 just like always on Tuesdays and Thursdays and got ready. Went out to my car at 8:50 and noticed that the door was slightly ajar (it seemed that my seat belt had caught in the door), but I didn't think anything of it. I start my car...but the damn thing WON'T START. It was like deja vu a year ago when I left my fucking lights on and my car wouldn't start. So after a few choice cuss words, I go back inside. I'm not sure what to do or who to call, so I call home, but nobody's there. Then I call my mom at work but it seems they changed the number, so the operator gave me the right one and I called that. I asked for my mom and she said to call Jensen Tires and get somebody to come and jump start the car for me. So I did that. (Keep in mind I'm really pissed off and about to cry during this - actually I did cry between phone calls because I was so damn frustrated). Of all days this had to happen on the day of my Am. Lit midterm. If it wasn't then, I would have skipped class, but I had to go. So I called Jensen and they said they don't make house calls so the guy gave me a number to call for a tow trucks, so I call them, and the line is busy. I call again ten minutes later and the guy said he can come in an hour, but I had to be there for him to jump start it. Then I called Mom again and whine some more about how I'm not going to be able to make it to class. So I call Dr. J and tell him I'm going to be late. Ugh, I hate the phone. So while I wait for the tow truck to come I read TTT and watch The View. The guy comes and gets my car to start and it turns out my stupidity cost me $15! What a waste! And now my radio won't work in my car! The tape player works, but not the radio! Now how am I going to listen to O'Reilly and Hannity when I'm driving! Wahhh!

Made it to class around 11:15 and I took my test out in the lounge. I probably flunked the whole thing. It was a bunch of essays I had to write. Ugh. Decided to not go to creative writing. We're doing poetry right now and I dont' want to go to two classes in two days about poetry. God, how boring.

Went to the mall this afternoon and got the Mr. Deeds DVD at Suncoast for Mandy's birthday present. The DVD cost only five dollars more than the video, so since I didn't want to be cheap I got the DVD. Then I went to Gloria Jeans and bought a Swiss Orange mocha. Mmmmmm-mmmmmm!

We watched The Searchers in movie class. It was a western starring John Wayne. It was VERY racist...hehe...the PC people would hate this movie, but it was made back in 1956. It was actually pretty good and there were some funny parts. The class (including me!) chuckled out loud at a few parts.

LOL I was chatting with BunnyZ today and I came up with a new nickname for Chicago: Shitago!

Came home and watched my American Idol tape. Clay kicked ass like always!

Woke up at the ungodly hour of 8:30. I know I shouldn't complain because other people wake up at 6, but damn, 8:30 is early to me! It was FREEZING outside. The last thing I wanted to do was go outside in this cold ass weather at 8:30 in the morning. Went to American Lit. class. We discussed Ethan Frome. It was boring. It was also starting to snow while I was in class. Great.

I had hot chocolate from the coffee machine and almond M&Ms for lunch. (Yes, very healthy, I know). I read TTT while I waited for my next class. I'm still reading that damn book. At least now I'm in Part 2 which is a little better than the first part, in my opinion.

We turned our stories in in creative writing class. We had a speaker from an advertsing firm come in. He was from Norway! Hehe, ain't that cool. His wife is from here. He had a little bit of an accent, but he sounded American 80% of the time. He kinda looked like Anthony Edwards. By the time class ended there was more snow on the ground so I had the fun task of driving home in that shit.

Later went to movie class. We watched Citizen Kane which is said to be the best movie ever made. Hahahah! Whatever. It was aite, I guess. I would give it a five out of ten. No, acutally, I would give it a three, but that's only because the DAMN SEATS ARE SO FUCKING UNCOMFORTABLE!! Damn, you think our cheap ass school could afford some decent seats!

Came home and watched my tape. Clay ROCKED on AI! Yay, GO CLAY!! He's a shoe in for the Top 12 (they changed it, dumbasses) for sure. 24 was great. I cried during the conversation between Jack and Kim. But I knew Jack wouldn't go down with the plane. The guy who plays George should soooo get an Emmy!
