Today I went on break with Verenice and we were looking through the paper which was mostly news about Katrina. We are so evil because I was reading this one article about building New Orleans in a different location. Verenice cracks, "Then it will be New New Orleans!" I read the article and start cracking up when I see the line "new New Orleans," so I point that out to Verenice and we have a good laugh over that, and then we immeditely feel guilty for laughing over a tragic event. I also read aloud how they think they should build the city fifty miles from the Mississippi (I forget the quote), and Verenice was like, "They're going to build the new New Orleans in Mississippi?" LMAO....yeah, that makes sense! So I correct her. Oh, and there was this kid who said he thought New Orleans was a freaking state at first. Um, okay, somebody needs to take geography 101 again! Verenice said that Katrina sounds like the kind of name some bitchy girl would have and be like, "DON'T MESS WITH ME, BITCH." Bwahh...that is so true.

Okay...I have a new pet peeve...when people pronounce New Orleans like "New Or-lee-ans." I pronounce it "New Or-lans," and sometimes the fun way, "N'awlins."

I got up early for nothing this morning! Everyone was waiting outside the Nebraska Review room for Magazine Lit class, waiting for Neil to arrive. It was five after and he hadn't come yet, then ten after, still no sign of him. We were making jokes of how he was telling us how he doesn't like tardiness in the last class. DaVita called his number on her cell phone and left a message on his voice mail, lol. Then some guy went up to check his office and I guess somebody told him that Neil was sick, so we all got to go home.

But really, I could have slept in instead of waking up at 7:45!

I have a blister on the bottom of my big toe and it really fucking hurts when I walk!

Today was my second day of classes. I had Literary Magazine and Advanced Level Fiction Studio. The former starts at nine in the morning (ugh!) and lasts for two hours, but it should be fairly easy. I have the same teacher I had for poetry last semester and he's pretty entertaining. Also, we have no homework. (Yay!) All we have to do is come in to class and basically read submissions to The Nebraska Review (they come in from all over the country, I guess) and either reject them or put them in a pile to be read for possibility of publishing.

There are a lot of people in the latter class (as well as the other one) that I know since everyone pretty much takes all the same courses in the Writer's Workshop program, so I recognized Angelique, TJ, Seth, Michael, Cassie, Stephanie, Kimberley, Garrett, and some others. Hehe, it's always like a writer's workshop reunion when we start a new class.

Apparently my hair color changes. I really do own a sweater like that, only it's black, not white. I love that website! I'm going to creat BSC dolls and Hogwarts' Next Top Witch dolls! (After the makeover, of course).
