Hahahaha! I'm still laughing over that. HILARIOUS!! I love EW. They can bring on the snark. Here's what they said about the worst style. Britney Spear's wedding was #2: Forget the "Pimp Daddy" sweat suits. Forget the Priscilla Presley bouffant. Forget the - oh, this hurts - chicken finger buffet. What we cant' get past is the reception minidress, complete with wayward bra straps. At least she was appropriately dressed for the garter toss.

Today was my first day of classes for the new semester. I had History of English this morning with the same professor I had last semester. It looks like it will be an interesting class, more of a language class than a literature one. That got out a little before 11, and my next class wasn't until one, so I went to Borders because Mom wanted me to pick up some books and magazines for Emily so we can send her a care package in Bolivia. I got her two books, A Bend in the Road and The Devil Wears Prada and three magazines: Entertainment Weekly, Vogue, and Marie Clarie. My next class was Bacis Poetry Studio and the teacher is a youngish guy who likes Spongebob Squarepants and School of Rock. He's a lot more interesting than Homer and not boring, thank God! Then I had a class later at 4:30 about Native American history. I might drop that one if I can get the class I want tomorrow morning.

Dude, 24 is back and it's awesome as ever. Seriously, I love this show. I even love it more than Alias and I really love THAT show! But Jack and Chloe from last season are the only returning characters. President Palmer isn't the prez anymore! :sniff!: I miss him! And Tony and Michelle don't work at CTU again. Hell, even Spawn isn't there anymore, I actually kind of miss her and I can't stand Kim! So here's what happened in the last four hours: (there was two hours yesterday and two hours tonight! sweet!) Jack is now dating the Secretary of Defense's daughter and they were both kidnapped (the father and daughter) and Senator Heller is going to be put on trial in an hour or two and he will be executed on national TV if he's found guilty. So CTU is trying their best to find them. Meanwhile, there's this TerrorFamily and Shoreh Aghalashdoo (sp?) is TerrorMom and this just goes to show to Nay Nay that anybody can win an Oscar, but not everyone can have a supercoolawesome guest stint on 24! Terror Family is in on the kidnapping and their teenage son had to deliver a briefcase to a man at the warehouse where the Senator and his daughter are being held. Well, it just so happens that the boy's stupid, annoying, clingy girlfriend followed him because he wouldn't return her calls, so she thought he was seeing someone else, so she followed him and she saw the warehouse which is a big no no. So Terror Mom invites Debbie over to the house and finds out who she has told about the warehouse (no one). But that is not satisfying and TerrorMom orders her son to take her to the basement and finish her off. The kid tries to run off with her, but it turns out TerrorMom has already poisned Debbie! Uh oh! Meanwhile, Jack is following this dude who took this kid who found out some stuff on the Internet, (long story), so anyone the guy was at a gas station and Jack had to stall him because Chloe needed to put the satellite system up on the road he was travelling down so they could follow him (because it would be too obvious if only Jack followed him), so Jack fucking robs the gas station! LMAO! And of course a police guy shows up....hahah..hilarious. So now the police have found Jack and he's surrounded...he should just tell them he's with CTU, duh. I wonder if he still has his badge...hmmm....well, that was the cliffhanger. Have I mentioned how much this show ROX??? I hope Tony, Michelle, and Palmer make some kind of appearance later on though. Or hell, even Spawn.

Feeling like shit

Heath and Jake
Work up this morning with a sore throat. Went to American Lit. class where we discused Ethan Frome. I had a nasty cough and just felt like shit all during class. We got our papers back. I did better than I thought I would. Got a B-. I was sure I would get an F or a D, so that was a relief.

Got a bottle of water after class, then went to Creative Writing. We were divided into groups of three to read our stories and get feedback. My story sucks so much ass. I hate it. I should have done another. Blah. Melissa and Toia were in my group were in my group and they said they liked it, but I think they were just being nice. My teacher said I had a "good start" so hopefully I'll still get out a good grade even if it's not a very exciting story.

My fucking mail key bent! I was trying to fix my stupid mail box, but I jammed the key in the wrong way or something. So now my mail box won't shut. I need to get a new mail key. I hope it doesn't cost money. I fucking hate that mailbox. I got Mac's licsense and some coupons from Long John Silver's lol.

I didn't go to my movie class because I just felt like shit. We were suppose to watch Casablanca. Oh, well. If I really want to see it I can always rent it. Sitting in those uncomfortable seats for two hours just didn't seem very appealling to me.

Mom forwarded me a letter from Mary. She never does that but she did with this email because she thought it would be interesting. But before that, her e-mail to Mary was at the bottom and something in it she wrote kinda irritated me:

think Emily is so brave to study in Denmark. What a great experience. Who wouldn't love to live in a placed like that for several months. Maybe she'll like Scandinavia so much she'll choose to live there. So, you tell Emily if she decides to stay you and I will plan a trip.

Yes, Emily is brave to study in another country for a few months, and yes, it is a great experience. But is my mom on crack!?!?! Why the hell would she want to LIVE there FOREVER??? LOL, I am such an American snob.

Anyway, Mom said I thought I would be "interested" because there was "stuff about Em" in Mary's letter. (She never forwards Mary's letters. If she ever gets an e-mail from her, she usually just tells me in person what's new with Mary and Emily and all). I'm sure this is what Mom was talking about:

She has a boyfriend!!! His name is Jaime. They have been close friends since freshman year - part of the same group, lots of time spent together - last semester they worked on an econ project together. Anyway - she has liked him for awhile - but was not sure if the feeling was mutual. Her roommate talked to him before they went overseas, and he said that he has liked Em since third year! Yea! Well, they are both in Denmark - he got her flowers for Valentines, and they finally talked about "them" - and are officially going together!

Okay, it's sooo obvious why Mom sent this to me. She wants to make sure that I know that Emily has a boyfriend because it's her way of saying that she wants me to get one. This irritates me to no end because I have never had a boyfriend and I will never have one because nobody will want to ever date me. I am the most boring person in the history of the world. I wouldn't want to hang out with myself!! She's just going to have to accept that I will be alone for the rest of my life. I don't have any friends, why the hell would I have a boyfriend? Besides, even if I DID, she probably wouldn't like him. She doesn't like Neta. Of course, to be fair, she is kind of annoying and it's not just the fact that she's Bill's girlfriend.

I'm eating salad again.
